the bright orange canopies make me think of a less blustery terrain- so perhaps freak weather has marooned this old lookout tower, maybe creating some crazy cabin fever for the remaining vigilant inside.

but yeah, i like the broken raised bridge element too.

dommi-fresh responds:

Thanks sucho nice to hear from a familier face

i'm so thankful for macbook's double-tap zoom feature on pictures, the best sprite art is so small! super gorgeous, i've got color shading envy.

sw-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-eet

DieterTheuns responds:

sugar.

i feel the pain with upload times dude, when the art portal started it was 50/50 whether my images would post to the portal, or just freeze leaving me to wait 3-4 days to retry.

this is gorgeous, i'm sure it'd mean more to me if i knew whatever isaac was

Lintire responds:

Well, I know that you know about Groundcats. So imagine Groundcats, right? And then stop imagining Groundcats and imagine the Binding of Isaac instead.

Sounds like the Portal used to be a whole lot worse. As of right now I acknowledge that it's probably just the whole "Australian Internet" thing screwing me over, but it's still a shame because everything else on this website loads SO fast.

no. he-uh. he was a good doctor.

is this one done all in photoshop this time?

JohnnyUtah responds:

eh yeah, no logical reason why

thats pretty sweet

golfinho responds:

kiss my ass.

the photographer is Elena Serebryakova. in the future if you have to do more of these duplication assignments, even if you do not know the photographer to credit, please write in the description that it is an image drawn entirely from photographic evidence (esp. if its a single photo like this case). also, while ng makes posting links directly unclickable - here is an english web profile she has for said image.

visibly rutger-ian, but for some reason this feels like a new style for you. maybe its the pastels. really like the texture on the star peach flower clusters

Rutger responds:

Thanks! I've been spending a lot more time on my drawings lately, and since this one was drawn with fineliners instead of with Flash/Photoshop the drawings and lines themselves have a different feel to them. Plus I finally got around to coloring a traditional drawing again, which makes a huge difference from black and white.

I'm definitely gonna do more stuff with this technique though, I like how it turned out.

really impressed with the porcelain finish you achieved, what did you use to lacquer it? i can never find anything poly-clay safe to clear-coat my sculptures
