top notch

always loved your stuff, but i'm particularly marvelled at the creativity of this one. the story is perfect and i can really see you as a dream for game design. i think my favourite touch is the headshot's breastplate detail. or lack thereof. the way the image is cut off, yet you kept the thickness of the plate and the screwhead visible really looks clean and professional.

and also, fuck you, looking at this picture really makes me wish i wasn't on a "no food after 10:00pm" regulation i set for myself.

jouste responds:

wow that 's a great review! thanks a lot!

i loooove making up guys that would be fun to play in games. games are pretty much the coolest way's of experiencing characters.

i'm really glad you noticed the negative space on the breastplate, recently i've been being more and more bold with that kind of style and i'm getting more comfortable with it with every execution.

thanks again for the super great review, sorry i made you hungry D:

*highfives*

it is a delicious cupcake

i must eat it.

bloominglove responds:

LOL~! XD

who the fuck taught you to draw like shit.

looks fantastic. you've got a good judgement on when to use outlines too. i like the border on the trees but also how they blur out into the sky. can't wait to see what the future holds.

like the followup image of newgrounds tearing up and desecrating your corpse.

SimonG responds:

Lol that wouldn't fit me.
But thanks oh master, I really really appreciate it! Especially from you.

those aren't names, those are shitty scrabble hands.

Yo man, i'm very happy for you, an' i'm gonna let you finish - BUT I NEED YOU TO SOLVE THIS PUZZLE RIGHT NOW

Maxaroni5 responds:

haha. thats a good one.

ima do that next kay?

good start mate

like below, i agree that the whole thing is drawn rather befitting itself. nice framing and interesting angles, good expressions, but it feels like the text falls a little flat, primarily the punchline. again though, your art helps in this area with the snapping jaw gag. it'll be interesting to see how your humour develops, considering how nice your art is already.

dommi-fresh responds:

i have done other comics as well this one is more for a friend rather than everyone so the humor might not be as snappy!
but you definatley have some good points.
however, i must say that by the way you have written 'good start' it implys that you haven't seen my art before because i started quite a while ago.
p.s ifi sound like a dick head i don't mean too. i do appreciate the honesty!

cyber cowpies? hmm

reminds me of Goht from majora's mask. maybe cuz i just finished beating him like 15 minutes ago. maaaaaaybe. the mechanics feel a little empty in this one though, i think its because the division is so sharp from the completely mechanical back half and the almost totally unmarred fuzzy front half.. but the colouring - as simple as it can be, is perfect for what it is, and the mysterious character on the top adds, well, mystery.

lol.

lenkalamari responds:

lmao i think in gohts official art hes walkin in this exact pose

i was gonna do this in 'proper' colours but wanted to play with contrast B)

thanks for the review yo

TETSUO!?!?

KANEEEEDDAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

ElMagico responds:

goddamn i love that movie.

slightly used

but it can still ROCK

if nude hillbillies with corpses under their deck looked like this, CNN would be so less harsh on them.

imjeffhip responds:

it's not used, it's made to look like that

great photo setup

i found that when i started sculpting, my ceramics looked a lot less like ceramics and more like stone when i blended tendril shapes into the clay. its hard to describe, but obviously gargoyles and other stone sculptures are chiseled, so they didnt really have the benefit of rolling soft shapes and layering on top of the sculpture, so the more you blend things and get rid of undercuts, like his mane, it looks less clay-like.

a great thing to remember when you sculpt, is to mimic the material you're sculpting as well as the subject matter. good work and good luck in the future.

Chieftx responds:

Wow thanx for the lengthy review! :D
Yeah I really like gargoyals. I also didn't really apply any textures at the time I sculpted it, so it dosen't really look to rock like. hey if you have any ceramics post em' here. there is literlaly only a handful of them posted in the portal and I would like to see em'
