we loves your faces, we hateses your plots
obviously this kind of socially awkward talky humour wont win everyone over, and i'm not going to argue for/against it because this is going to be long enough already.
i wanted to say though that i think this is really an improvement from the first installment of WGJ4K, which was completely bogged down with a boring and confusing backstory, because frankly - none of these characters make any sense. no two-bit hoods have that air of unwarranted, overindulged, incredibly beatnik-styled self importance that mickey reeks of. he plays more like an art school stoner dropout with anger issues. at a glance though, your clever caricatures say all that is needed for them, you really are fantastic at that, so its really good to see that they've become 2-dimensional comedic foils for the interviewees. no behind-the-scenes exploration or character explanation needed, they're there to fail at spoofing video games and to make fun others while ignoring their own glaring stupidity.
while perhaps not a novel or universally loved formula, this is the best i've seen in a long while at doing that. at least on the net.
so kudos.
